Different benefit fraud sentences

A Droitwich benefit cheat who falsely claimed almost £50,000 she was not entitled to has avoided jail.

But in Macclesfield the family of a great-gran jailed for a £23,000 benefit fraud have slammed the sentence as ‘harsh and unnecessary’.

It does seem harsh for the gran, WHO PAID IT BACK.

The problem with getting DLA is nobody is going to say 'stop putting money in my bank account every week',so more checks and reviews are needed.
